I'm IN !

Senior Curator Jeffrey Wechsler and educator/docent Kathy Glaser came to the studio 2.18.10 -- and carried JAMES off and away to 'his' new, permanent home -- The Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Museum ! at Rutgers University [New Brunswick]. JAMES consists of two pieces: James and James II, Reprise 2008 (and the noteboard). It's the piece about my father's advice to me -- i.e., "don't bring home a nigger." And then (Reprise 2008) I imagined what the advice would have been if I were 13 yrs old in 2008, when Barack Obama became the President. That's the latest news from the studio. ART on, ya'll !
